Ozone is not an oxygen, its chemical formula is O3, but it is a pure, light blue gas with a fishy smell. Ozone has a stronger oxidation reaction than oxygen, and is commonly used as a strong oxidizing agent, bleaching agent, disinfectant and disinfectant, etc. Ozone is widely accepted because of its economical, reliable, absolutely non-toxic, secondary pollution and other advantages in water treatment.

Compared with the ozone layer, ozone is naturally formed in the atmosphere higher above the ground, and its formation mechanism is that the oxygen in the upper atmosphere is turned into free oxygen atoms by ultraviolet radiation from sunlight, and some free oxygen atoms combine with oxygen to form ozone. 90% of the ozone in the atmosphere is formed in this way. Ozone molecules are unstable molecules, and ultraviolet radiation from the sun can both produce ozone and decompose ozone to produce oxygen molecules and free oxygen atoms, so the concentration of ozone in the atmosphere depends on the dynamic equilibrium between its generation and decomposition rate.

The ozone technology of the ozone generator uses high-pressure ionization (or chemical and photochemical reactions) to decompose and polymerize part of the oxygen in the air into ozone, which is an allotropic transformation process of oxygen. It can also be obtained by electrolysis of water. The instability of ozone makes it difficult to store in bottles, and it can only be produced on-site by using ozone generators. Classification of ozone generators According to the way ozone is generated, there are three main types of ozone generators: one is high-voltage discharge, the other is ultraviolet irradiation, and the third is electrolytic.
